"Apricot"

I stumbled across this gem a few days ago and have been thinking about it ever since.
Director Ben Briand (with a background in fine arts) delivers a subtle, understated and visually stunning short film, romanticizing the lush memories of youth and effortlessly transitioning between past and present.  You can see more of his work at Moonwalk Films and at www.benbriand.com.

Style, Where to Get It

Spring is right around the corner and with it, an overwhelming plethora of websites, newsletters and blogs out there to keep you on the up-and-up for trends and style.  So much so that it can be difficult to keep track of all your options (not to mention, keeping your inbox clear of stuff you don't truly read!).  With that said, here's a few online resources to help you discover your inner fashionista this season....

The Zoe Report
This Hollywood Stylist recently launched a new website and newsletter featuring her picks for Accessories, Apparel, Beauty, Jewelry and Lifestyle--boasting a "bronzed, sexy and wrapped up in Seventies-tinged laidback glamour" perspective. And with clients like Jennifer Garner, Ms. Zoe is most definitely one-to-watch.  Yes, most of her selections are on the pricey side, but for each $500 shoe she recommends, she complements it with the "Parallel Universe" option (more smartly priced for the real girl!).

ShopStyle
http://www.shopstyle.com
"ShopStyle" is the online equivalent of browsing the aisles of the world's most fabulous store.  But, what separates it from other shopping hubs is its fantastic "look book" tool that allows users to build their own looks and share them with the online community--browse your neighbors look collection when you've run out of ensemble ideas!  You can also follow "celebrity styles"... say you may admire Nicole Richie's boho chic, but you have no idea how to put it together in real life... don't fret, ShopStyle's got you covered!

Style and the City
"Style and the City" is most definitely a "go-to" resource for inspirational street fashion!  It features real life, every day, people-on-the-street wardrobe (New York, London and Paris), from the wacky to the highly coiffed. Great photography and a sense of humor truly makes this blog worthwhile.  Browsing this will certainly change the way you enjoy your downtown stroll!
Liebemarlene Vintage Look Book

And for those of you into throw-back flair, check out the "Liebemarlene Vintage Look Book" blog, by Atlanta-based Rhiannon Leifheit.  She brings you unending retro inspirations, and an ebay store to-boot!  Its amazing how sophisticated and sexy vintage reproductions can be now-a-days!  I've learned that you can pair most any dress with black stocking/black heels and *snap* - you're a retro sex kitten.
